Default Help with my Amoura KM

Hey guys just picked it up this week and I seem to be having trouble with burning the tobacco. I use the Egyptian bowl it came with it and I seem to be burning the tobacco on every use. Wondering what bowls/coals I should use to get this puppy working right! Thx for the help guys!

You need a Phunnel and some natural coals.

I am assuming you are using quik-lites.

While you don't have those, you can still smoke. Load your tobacco correctly, punch your foil holes, and then break the QL coal in half if it is a disk and put 1/2 on each side, not in the middle. Rotate them periodically, keeping the heat even but not too over-done.

Or an even better investment would be a phunnel bowl!
But the stock bowl should work great...what is your coal setup?

actually the standard clay bowl is perfect.

If you are burning, then you may need to have some distance between the tobacco and the foil, when you are done, if there is a mess underneath the foil and stuck to the foil use less tobacco. you need like 1/4" of space there.

Yeah the instant lights is what i've been using cause i'm putting an order in tomorrow for the Coco Naras from MN hookah.

As far as the tobacco i've been packing. I've used your guys advice for the finger of space between the top of the bowl. I think the heat from the coals is to much for the tobacco. After the session and the coals are done I pull the foil off the bowl and it's burnt and sometimes stuck to the top. So i'm just wondering what can do to prevent this and have a better session.

pack a little less shisha. keep it under the rim of the bowl. make sure the foil is very tight around the top of the bowl, so the coals don't push it down onto the shisha.

Dood Exotica's are great i think the best, COCO naras are good (long time to lite) Thats about the best. For quick lites 3 Kings or ******* hookah coals are good also.

unfortunately the km's i've seen lately have some cheaper smaller egyptian bowls. You should upgrade it to a larger one, however the ones I have seen are poor quality as well. I have my old ones but if i didn't i would have to use a phunnel bowl. I hope egypt and the importer can get their crap together with the bowl situation.

A finger of space between the tobacco and foil? Damn that is huge. You need like 1/16" of space. Just keep it under the rim.

Smaller Egyptian clay bowls are a bit harder to manage but they give the best results. My current go to bowl is my smallest egyptian. I can get 1.5 hours of smoke out of 5-6 grams of shisha. You just need to practice your heat management.

hmmmm I was able to rip a few using CH QuickLights & the Amoura before. And honestly, these are the only QL I would ever use other than naturals. I suggest 2 square coals on the outer edge and slowly rotating them for the small clay bowl. I noticed other coals (even round ones) tend to slide toward the center of the bowl when inhaling right from the first hit. This causes massive burns. CH and CocoNaras don't have that problem until its time to change coals anyway. But yea if you are going to use a larger Egyptian bowl, try the same thing with 3 coals.

Also learn new techniques with heat management such as instead of holes around the whole bowl, try poking holes only where the coals will be sitting.
