Exclamation Saving washed unwashable hose

I recently washed a nonwashable hose and even tho I dried it well and fast and always blew out particles before using . .I still get small specs of rust in my mouth. Is there any way to stop that from happening? or at least to decrease the effect over time? ( And don't tell me to go buy a new hose)
THX!

you can't really reverse the process of rust appearing on metal nonetheless getting rust in your mouth. all you can do it BUY A NEW HOSE.

spray wd-40 into the hose to loosen the rust and when that dries spray rustoleum into it(color of your choice). You'll be fine!! I'M KIDDING!!! don't do that!! unwashable hoses can best be cleaned by allowing them to sit for afew days(which allows the resins in the hose to dry) and then blown out w/an air compressor. And yes, you will need a new hose.

That rust will make you sick, theres nothing more you can do. Buy a new hose, and get an extra or 2 so you have one on hand in case of emergencies.

I'm only asking because I don't have ways of getting new hoses - no stores in my area and my Romanian credit cards don't work on several sites. It's not like I can't afford a new one. It does seem that after half an hour of smacking it around and scrunching it and blowing out i did manage to get it useable again . . no rust particles. Lucky I had a tetanos shot recently too.

But seriosuly don't use one that has started rusting allready its not good for you, i know hookah aint but a rusty hose aint doing no good, i see you are in manchester or so, i have a few used hoses nothing special, they are stock hoses that come with the hookah but they are better then the rusted one you got.

If you pay for postage il send you over one

PM me if you want it

We all did that and got rust! After 8 years of smoking I ONLY buy PVC specially made for hookah hoses. They are very cheap, last a long time as pvc does and you can wash them in 20 seconds of warm water, no drying time.So if you smoke a strong mint, you just wash. Go online search for : "Plastic hookah hose" or "PVC hookah hose". I know f two American companies who make them. They come from Egypt , I buy in Israel from....
but why not take the mouthpiece and stem attachments off your old hose, buy as much pvc as you need. Take the mouthpiece along to fit. Now, the mouthpiece is a bit bigger as it should be. Just heat up the end of the hose withhot water, stick in the mouthpiece and as it cools you have a fit.Too long a pvc hose can flip a small hookah over.

Technically there are ways to turn the destructive rust into a protective rust (like blueing) but I am not sure it wouldn't destroy the non-metal parts of the hose and I am also not sure you could get it cleaned up enough to smoke out of it unless just boiling works but I am not sure I think it requires a chemical as well.

Thehookahstore.com has a Saudi washable hose. I can't compare it to the razan Nammor or grand or even the new caravan washable which looks like the exact same thing in solid more basic colors but it draws great and works wonderfully it is our favorite hose and it is 9 bucks with the discount I think it ends up about 7.50 and you don't have to glue it back together every few smokes like the Razan apparently needs.
