Default Coals aren't lasting

I just got some new coals. They don't have a brand the package just says "Charcoal for Hookah" they say "made in H&W" as well.

I tried them out earlier and the coal lasted a whopping 20 minutes. What am I doing wrong? I started it on the stove and it sparked a little so i assume it's self lighting or whatever it's called.

tips?

Man i was hoping i was doing something wrong. I ended up buying 2 packs before it was only 1.99 for 10 coals, and this is all that the local shop carries.

you probably aren't doing anything wrong, they probably just suck. I'd get new coals...

I guess you can use a windcover as well..

that would probably work if you asked them to pick up a product! most shops will!

Yes, get some quality coals you will notice the difference real quick. If you can't buy them in your area just buy them online.

Speaking of cheap coals.... Last night i got my new km ice. The vendor tossed in some free coals, holy sh*t did they suck! Not only were they the smallest quick lights i've seen, they smelled liked death and went off like fire crackers. Like fragments actually flying outside of my coal carrier, thank god for exoticas haha.

There is also the off chance that if your lighting the quick lights on the stove that you're leaving them on too long. But chances are you just need to buy new coals.

if they are quick lights, the cheap disk type last a pretty short time

i say stick with a brand of natural coals or get pure bulk natural coals (like the pure, not briquette type you can buy for bbq'ing, no flavored ones just pure plain charred wood, like 3-6 bucks for a bag you have to sling over your shoulder to carry it)

It's definitely the coals, I have the same problem with some of the coals I bought, silver flints. If nothing else, you want to buy the good Shisha and the good coals. Definitely worth pay the extra buck
